So, this is my first post to my blog and wow, I have to say, I’m really excited about this one. My good friend Casey Anderson opened my eyes to TED, the genius symposium held annually either in CA or Oxford. TED 2009 is currently underway in Oxford, England as we speak, and TED 2010 is already sold out for next year. TED stands for, Technology, Entertainment, Design, and has awesome videos of experts from their field speaking on a broad range of topics. If you don’t know what TED is, check it out here…
TEDxSMU is a authorized local, TED event. It is being sponsored and put on by Southern Methodist University. Although tickets are a mere fraction of the cost of what it costs to actually see a TED workshop, $100 compared to $6,000, seating will be limited and you must submit an application and be approved before registering. I plan on submitting an application before this week ends. I’m not sure I’m ready to call myself a TEDster, but if my app gets accepted I might just take the plunge. Best of luck to everybody who submits an app.
